Riace: Tradition and History on the Ionian Coast
Riace is a town of 1,829 inhabitants located on the Ionian coast of Calabria, known in particular for the Riace Bronzes, two Greek statues found in the sea near Riace Marina. These finds are now exhibited at the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria. The town, in addition to its archaeological history, is also known for its Arbëreshe community and the preservation of cultural traditions.
