Taxi Tropea

Tropea is an Italian municipality of 6,057 inhabitants, in the province of Vibo Valentia in Calabria. It is responsible for the export of the red onion, sweeter than the white one. Cultivated between Nicotera, in the province of Vibo Valentia, and Campora San Giovanni, in the municipality of Amantea, in the province of Cosenza, along the Tyrrhenian coast. The product has received the PGI mark and is protected by a Consortium recognized by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies.
